Police say an alleged shoplifter was breaching two court orders just by going into the store.
They were called to the 900-block of Victoria Avenue on Monday afternoon at about 2:45 p.m., after store staff there stopped a woman who had tried to steal about $800 in merchandise. Officers quickly found that the suspect was already on an undertaking and a probation order — both of which prohibited her from going to the store in the first place.
The 35-year-old Brandon woman was later released and is to appear in court on July 31, where she'll face charges of theft and of breaching court orders.
