As city snow-clearing efforts move into the older core area of Brandon, narrower streets are bringing out a get-tough approach.
Beginning at 8 a.m. today, crews will begin clearing snow from Victoria Avenue north to Rosser Avenue, between First Street and 18th Street.
Yesterday, the city put out no parking signs in that area, and says vehicles that remain parked on those streets today will be ticketed.
Normally, city bylaws allow for vehicles to be parked on a street for up to 48 hours without being moved.
Although there are designated snow routes in that area, those routes have already been cleared.
