A zero-budget film by three Brandonites about their 2,000-kilometre bike tour in northern Canada is making its television debut tonight.
"Riding North," made by Steve Langston, Chris Mitchell and Ryan Mitchell, will be premiering on the radX — Risk. Adventure. Danger — specialty network at 8 p.m. CST.
The film, which documents the 30-day bike tour from Whitehorse, Yukon, to Yellowknife, N.W.T., was shot entirely by the three Brandonites while overcoming the physical and mental taxation of the journey.
The crew’s second film, "Tailwind: Prairie Harvest," follows the trio as they navigate Manitoba by bike, eating only locally grown food, has recently aired on MTS Stories.
The radX channel will have a licence to broadcast "Riding North" for the next five years.
