Glass was the victim this past weekend as a car was stolen and an SUV was damaged in a theft attempt.
The stolen car, a white 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier, was reported stolen Sunday morning just before 9 a.m. It had been taken from the 1300-block of Sixth Street, where it had been parked overnight.
It was found shortly after, at the rear of a compound on the 100-block of Richmond Avenue East, with all the windows broken out.
Police didn’t arrest any suspects and say they are continuing to investigate.
They’re also investigating the attempted theft of a blue 1995 Jeep Cherokee.
The SUV had been parked on the 600-block of Ninth Street over the weekend, and sometime since Friday afternoon, a passenger window had been broken.
The steering column was also damaged in the theft attempt, which was reported shortly before 10 a.m. on Sunday.
