Stolen vehicle used as battering ram

Brandon police are still on the lookout for a stolen vehicle after a business was broken into and two vehicles were stolen.

Sometime between 9 p.m. on Oct. 6 and noon the following day, someone kicked open the door to the business, gaining entry. Once inside, keys to several vehicles were taken from a compound.

One of the vehicles was turned into a battering ram, used to smash open the gate. Once open, two trucks were taken.

Police located one of the trucks, a 1999 Chevrolet 3500 series a short distance away on Van Horne Avenue.

The second truck, a black 2006 Ford F150 XLT Supercab, has not been recovered.
