A man was cut on the hand while defending himself from a knife-wielding assailant late Thursday morning.
Officers were called to a home on the 900-block of Fourth Street North at about 11 a.m. that day. They say the victim, a 56-year-old Brandon man, had been cut on the hand while defending himself.
The suspect, a 21-year-old Brandon man, was located in the residence. He’s been charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He is to appear in court on May 9.
