Police continue to investigate after a 31-year-old man was found dead in a Brandon housing co-op on Wednesday morning.
An update provided Friday morning confirmed only that an autopsy in Winnipeg had been completed Thursday and that investigators were awaiting the final results of lab tests.
They say that they continue to consider the death suspicious.
The man was found inside the Welcome Inn, at the corner of 11th Street and Louise Avenue. Police say they were called to the home at 9:23 a.m. and found a man dead at the scene. The neighbour, who’s familiar with the home and its tenants, said the man was reportedly found when the home administrator and a worker went to check on him because he hadn’t been seen in some time.
The Brandon Homelessness website describes the home as a non-profit housing co-op that offers 14 apartment rentals to people living with psychiatric disabilities.
