Teen accused of second-degree murder in Plum Coulee death

WINNIPEG — Autopsy results have found a 42-year-old Plum Coulee man died from stab wounds.

Altona police were called to a residence in Plum Coulee on Sunday night at 8:15 p.m. where they discovered the man’s body.

RCMP said Tuesday an autopsy determined the man died from multiple stab wounds.

Police have charged a 14-year-old boy with second-degree murder.

He remains in custody and is set to appear in court in Winnipeg today.

Police would only say the pair were known to each other.

Meanwhile, a man has now been charged with the death of 27-year-old Jarod Daniel Jensen of the RM of St. Andrews.

On Sunday at about 5:45 p.m., Thompson RCMP were dispatched to a residence in the Eastwood area of the city, where an unresponsive adult male was found injured in the residence.

He was transported to Thompson General Hospital were he later died.

That day, 25-year-old Shane Corson Braun of Thompson was arrested in connection with the death.

On Monday, he was charged with second-degree murder.

He remains in custody and will make a court appearance in Thompson on Thursday.

The accused and the victim were known to each other.

And RCMP are investigating a homicide after a man was found dead on Black River First Nation.

RCMP were called to a residence around 2 a.m. New Year’s Day and found a deceased adult man. RCMP have ruled the death a homicide. An investigation continues.

No further information is available and RCMP Powerview detachment, serious crime unit and Winnipeg forensic identification unit are investigating.
