City police have nabbed a 15-year-old boy for stealing a motorcycle Thursday and hiding it behind a business.
Police say the Waywayseecappo First Nation boy took off with the 2013 Kawasaki motocross bike sometime overnight on Thursday from the bed of a pickup truck parked on the 1100-block of 19th Street.
Police put the boy in handcuffs Friday night for allegedly entering a number of parked vehicles near 18th Street and Park Avenue and officers found evidence he took off with the motorbike.
The bike, valued at approximately $7,000, was recovered from its hiding spot behind a business on the 1000-block of 20th Street.
The boy is being charged with theft of the bike and tampering with a vehicle in relation to another incident which prompted the arrest.
He will appear in court in July.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a 17-year-old Brandon boy was arrested after being suspected of damaging vehicles on the 400-block of 11th Street early Saturday.
Police say he’s suspected of damaging a door handle and mirror assembly on two vehicles.
The youth was taken into custody and charged with mischief to property under $5,000.
