A six-month national tour called Startup Canada is stopping in Brandon Wednesday to celebrate and inspire entrepreneurship.
The group is travelling coast-to-coast during the tour and plans to engage more than 25,000 Canadians and 250 partner organizations through a series of town hall meetings and other events and to develop community-driven solutions to challenges facing entrepreneurs today.
The Brandon event will take place Wednesday morning at the Victoria Inn. It’s co-hosted by the Brandon Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Brandon and the Canada/Manitoba Business Service Centre.
“Each new stop has uncovered unique and inspiring ideas for uniting Canada’s entrepreneurs, support organizations, and local communities to build and support a common entrepreneurial vision for the country,” said Victoria Lennox, co-founder of Startup Canada.
“Now it’s Westman’s turn to keep the momentum rolling. We’ve got two exciting events going on in Manitoba that focus on startup funding challenges and opportunities, and we are looking forward to connecting with members of Manitoba’s vibrant entrepreneurial community.”
At the Brandon event, facilitated by Lanis Anthony, a business investment communications entrepreneur, discussions will be held around several topics, including: entrepreneurial communities and culture, youth entrepreneurship, high-growth entrepreneurship, supporting the startup and Canadian entrepreneurs on a global stage.
A full event listing is featured on the Startup Canada Campaign website at startupcan.ca/tour.
