On Friday, shortly after 12 a.m., the Blue Hills RCMP with fire and paramedic services were dispatched to the report of a single-vehicle collision about 13 kilometres south of Brandon on Highway 10.
Police determined that a white pickup truck heading south left the highway and collided with a hydro pole on the west side. The lone occupant of the truck, a 19-year-old Killarney man, was taken to the Brandon Regional Health Centre and treated for minor injuries and released.
He was then arrested for impaired driving as alcohol consumption was a factor in this collision. He is due to appear in Brandon court on Jan. 31.
