Two teenage Westman boys are facing arson charges after a boat was lit on fire earlier this week.
The boat was a total loss after the blaze on Sunday night, but police arrested the pair Monday. They’re also accused of setting off a fire extinguisher in a south-end hotel Monday that set the fire alarms off.
One of them is also charged with setting fire to one of the new plastic swings in Rideau Park on Saturday, melting it.
A 17-year-old Boissevain boy is charged with arson after the boat fire, plus mischief to property and false alarm of fire. A 14-year-old Brandon boy faces the same charges, plus an additional arson charge related to the damaged swing.
