KILLARNEY — Canadian Wilderness Inn is fast becoming a chain.
The motel group launched in Boissevain recently opened its third operation, the Killarney Wilderness Inn.
Irvin Goodon, who is a well-known businessman in southwest Manitoba, had the principal vision of a new motel facility in Boissevain. That flagship has already undergone an expansion.
Last year, in partnership with his daughter Jo, Goodon opened a motel in Deloraine.
The Killarney Wilderness Inn has 29 rooms and is located directly adjacent to the Shamrock Centre. Co-owned by Will Goodon, it features a spacious lobby with a wilderness mural, along with a large breakfast area for guests.
Irvin said they are delighted with the welcoming they’ve had in Killarney.
“The encouragement we have received by municipal leaders is very appreciated, as is the goodwill we have heard on the streets from Killarney and Turtle Mountain residents,” he said.
“Our partnership with the Shamrock Centre will be based on mutual goals, which is to see more families, more visitors and more business come into Killarney.”
