Police say they found a man sitting in a motel room with a chunk of cocaine in plain view on the dresser after being alerted to a possible drug deal early Sunday morning.
The call came in at about 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, and officers went to a motel on the 1000-block of 18th Street, where the drug deal was reported to be happening.
Not only was the suspect sitting in one of the rooms with the drugs out, he was also bound by a court order to abstain from alcohol and drugs, they say.
A 40-year-old Winnipeg man is to appear in court on Sept. 13, on charges of cocaine possession and breaching his probation.
