The driver of an SUV involved in a crash with a school bus that killed one man on Waywayseecappo First Nation has been charged.
Sharon Murdock, 40, of Waywayseecappo, is facing charges of impaired driving causing death and two counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm, according to RCMP.
At about 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Prairie Mountain RCMP responded to the Wayway crash, where the SUV travelling northbound on Shingoose Road collided with a southbound school bus.
As a result of the crash, all three passengers of the SUV were transported to the Russell hospital.
It was there that the 44-year-old male passenger was pronounced dead.
Murdock and the 41-year-old rear-seat passenger suffered minor injuries.
Four children who were aboard the bus at the time suffered minor injuries. The bus driver also suffered minor injuries.
Murdock has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Brandon provincial court today.
