A Brandon woman accused of shoplifting thousands of dollars worth of groceries has been charged with theft.
Police say the woman was arrested Wednesday afternoon at about 4:15 p.m. after allegedly attempting to steal about $800 worth of groceries from a local retailer. After further investigation, they allege that, over the past several months, she has stolen grocery items with a total value of $2,400.
