A woman was assaulted and robbed early yesterday morning while on the 100-block of Ninth Street.
Police were called just before 1 a.m. by the victim, who says she was approached by three people who demanded money.
When the woman refused, the trio allegedly assaulted her and robbed her of a small amount of cash.
The suspects were spotted by police on the 200-block of 10th Street, but fled. Officers managed to nab two of them back near the scene of the crime, on the 100-block of Ninth Street.
A 27-year-old Brandon man and a 32-year-old Brandon woman are currently in custody. Police say the investigation is continuing; the third suspect, a female, was not caught.
