A 20-year-old Brandon man spent a night in jail after allegedly hitting and choking a woman.
On Saturday night at around 11 p.m., police received the call.
As a result of the assault, the woman required stitches on her lip.
The suspect, who has been charged with assault causing bodily harm, is scheduled to appear in court on April 8.
