Winnipeg Blue Bombers sign veteran import linebacker Ejiro Kuale to contract

WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are hoping veteran import linebacker Ejiro Kuale can keep his Grey Cup streak alive this season.

The team signed the five-year CFL veteran to a contract on Tuesday. Kuale, a 30-year-old Daytona Beach, Fla., native, won a Grey Cup in 2012 with Toronto and won a championship again last year with Saskatchewan.

In 59 career games, the six-foot-two 229-pounder has 98 defensive tackles, 19 special-teams tackles, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.

Kuale played in Toronto before splitting last season between Montreal and Saskatchewan.
