EDITORIAL: Precedent could be dangerous
We are extremely pleased that City of Brandon councillors unanimously agreed Monday night to contribute $1.88 million to Brandon University’s Healthy Living Centre project.
And we echo the sentiments of Coun. Jeff Harwood (University) who said during the council meeting that this project will be great for the university, for the city and for the region.
But the way in which this funding came about should raise a few eyebrows.
