Gov’t beaten to the punch
As a prelude to the upcoming March budget speech, Premier Greg Selinger stepped up to the pulpit late last year to preach the virtues of fiscal responsibility and moderation in government spending.
The year 2010 would be one of red ink and tightened belts, Selinger told us, as the province spent its way out of a difficult recession.
