If Halloween brings out the little kid in you or perhaps the ghoul you long to be, you are going to want to check out Brandon’s newest and most exciting spot for everything Halloween.

Spirit Halloween, located in the old Blockbuster building at 930 18th St., offers something for everyone and anyone — in fact, they have so much stuff — costumes, decor and more — it’s scary.

"We have everything. Makeup, wigs, thousands of costumes, fake blood, fake knives that come out of your head, tons of stuff for your yard. There’s so much to look at," said Lynn Defoort, who is running the seasonal store with her husband Don.

Spirit Halloween has a costume for every person — and animal — in your family.

Starting with infant costumes, "We have the cutest superman bibs in right now," Defoort said. And more for kids, tweens, teenagers, adults and adult plus-size.

"There are a lot of scary costumes but we have a lot of fun costumes, too," Defoort said.

"We do have a line too that’s more risky and cutesy. We have a lot of licensed, too, so we have a lot of Disney princesses and a lot of super hero costumes."

Defoort said they can also outfit your dog with a Halloween costume.

And if you’re itching to make your yard the spookiest on the block this Oct. 31, then Spirit Halloween has everything from strobe lights and bubble makers to noise machines and spiders that jump out of trees.

Spirit Halloween is open Monday to Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Keystone Centre Hockey House

The Keystone Centre is catering to Brandon Wheat Kings fans, literally.

The Keystone Centre is in the process of setting up a "Hockey House," in the CKLQ room of the facility.

Keystone Centre general manager Neil Thompson said the Keystone Centre’s catering services will be providing a meal of beef on a bun with licensed beverages and a dual hockey watching experience.

The Hockey House will be decorated with hockey memorabilia to make it feel like a sportsman’s lounge.

Thompson said the Hockey House will be ready next Friday.

The Keystone Centre will show the Wheat Kings’ last away game in the Hockey House during a Wheat Kings game at Westman Place.

Children are allowed to attend the Hockey House with an adult and those attending the Hockey House need a ticket for the Wheat Kings game once the game starts.
