Looking for something fun to do with your Tuesday evenings? Love games?
Look no further than the Brandon Board Game League, being put on by I Want That Stuff and held at Playtime Entertainment Inc., located at 1608 Park Ave. in Brandon.
The league will run every Tuesday for six weeks starting July 31 and is open to anyone who loves to play board games.
There will be six board games, some of which will be The Walking Dead board game and The Big Bang Theory board game and players will tackle one of these games each Tuesday.
There are prizes to be won each week and the player with the highest score in the end will be named the best board gamer in Brandon, win a trophy and a copy of each of the six games.
James Ruser, owner of I Want That Stuff, located at 645 10th St., said he thought of starting the league to give adult Brandonites something else that is fun to do in the Wheat City.
"There’s not a ton of fun adult things to do, so this just gives adults something fun to go out and do," Ruser said.
Ruser said he chose Playtime to host it, as they have the space for more than 100 gamers and has food and licensed beverages.
Registration is free for this summer session of the Brandon Board Game League and just $5 every Tuesday you play.
There will be prizes each week for gamers.
For those who are looking for board games to play at home as well, check out I Want That Stuff. Ruser said he has the "cheapest and hippest" selection of games in town.

Shoppers Mall — Mobility Companies
If finding the right cellphone is on your to-do-list this fall, Shoppers Mall will be the place to go.
Already home to MTS Connect, Rogers Plus and Wireless Wave, Shoppers Mall will have four new communications/cellphone and cellphone accessory companies move into units and kiosks in the mall by October.
Shoppers Mall manager Kim James said that Bell Canada will move into the spot recently vacated by Fruits and Passion, (Fruits and Passion is still located in the mall, but has moved to a kiosk) and TELUS Mobility will move into the spot that was formally Chatters Salon. Both Bell and TELUS plan to open their doors in the mall in August.
Virgin Mobile will occupy a kiosk — also planning an August opening — and if you’re constantly on the search for the perfect phone cover, look no further than All About Cell, which will open in another kiosk by Oct. 1.
"It’s really the year of mobility companies I think," James said.
MTS Connect management said construction on its new location will begin any day and they expect to be in the new space by Oct. 1.
Teriyaki House
Brandon is about to get a new Japanese Fusion restaurant.
Teriyaki House will open in the new strip mall, named "The Cornerstone," by Crane Enterprises Ltd. The Cornerstone is under construction, but the Teriyaki House will take one of its units.
Teriyaki House owner Charlie Jun Sadiwa said that his restaurant will stand apart from others in town.
"Our idea is to start a small Japanese Fusion restaurant, called Teriyaki House that will be different from existing Asian restaurants in town primarily in terms of cooking styles, as our introductory signatures will be teriyaki and teppanyaki," Jun Sadiwa said in an email.
He added that there will be a kid friendly menu as well, that includes french fries for those who don’t want rice.
He said customer favourites will stay on the menu, but the menu will have dishes that changes every three to four months.
Expect the Teriyaki House to open sometime this fall.
WALLIN’S ON A ROLL
Chad Wallin’s a busy guy.
After leaving Montana’s Cookhouse and opening Joe Beeverz Bar & Grill (it’s expanding to Yorkton, Sask.), he’s also now part of a local ownership groupthat hasassumed the ownership and operationof Gulliver’s Grill.
"We are extremely excited to work on this venture and to be a part of building another fantastic dining option in Brandon," Wallin said in an email.
"Although Gulliver’s may not be on top of your mind today as your restaurant of choice, it is our hope that through the fantastic group of employees and management we will win you over with great food and friendly service!"
Wallin is convinced Gulliver’s is not only a great lunch destination — what it’s best known for — but also a great spot for dinner.
Wallin also promises some "exciting changes" in upcoming months.
