Sometimes the first idea is the best one. At least that’s what management at Remington’s Seafood and Steakhouse are thinking these days.
The restaurant, located in The Town Centre at 800 Rosser Ave., is in the process of revamping its new menu after adding a locally grown chef.
Chef Rodney Randall, who grew up in Westman, is now busy creating new, fresh and from scratch masterpieces for Remington’s new menu.
"We’re not necessarily changing everything, but the way it’s made. We want to focus on more fresh food, homemade and from scratch," said Remington’s manager Ben Hernandez.
"For New Year’s we did a four course meal and everything was created from scratch. People were so impressed with the food — and that’s the way we want to go."
Hernandez said creating more fresh items made right in house was an idea that management at Remington’s had when the restaurant first opened.
"We want to keep customers coming back and offering them unique products," Hernandez said.
Hernandez added he thought the new menu would be ready by the end of this month.

A Pet Lovers Warehouse
A Pet Lovers Warehouse is moving down the street.
Currently located at 2324 Park Ave., it appears the popular pet supplies store will be moving down the street in the new year to the old Brandon Marine and Leisure building at 2030 Park Ave. between Western Concrete and Atom Jet Industries.
Signage is up at the new location, but the current location is still fully stocked and open for business.
Ye’s Buffet
Opening day is getting closer for Ye’s Buffet.
Located at 201 18th St. North, management at the restaurant is currently busy training staff.
