Melinda Tannahill, owner of Riverbend Soap Company on 13th Street, is gearing up for the business’ annual Ladies Night on Dec. 5.
Riverbend Soap Company, located at 1003 13th St., is hosting its annual Ladies Night on Wednesday, Dec. 5, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Riverbend Soap Company owner Melinda Tannahill said it’s the fourth annual event for customers to check out the great natural products the store offers in time for Christmas shopping.
Riverbend Soap Company specializes in all-natural bath, body and home products and carries brands such as Rocky Mountain Soap Company, Pure Anada Natural Cosmetics, All Things Jill and Kogi Naturals.
Tannahill said the Riverbend Soap Company also carries a full, 100 per cent natural baby line.

Tanya’s Beehive Lounge
Tanya’s Beehive Lounge, which opened at 763 13th St. earlier this year, will host an open house event on Monday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The open house is a come-and-go event for customers to meet and greet owner Tanya Teetaert, have some snacks and check out the many services she offers in her beauty salon.
Tanya’s Beehive Lounge offers haircuts, colour and styling for men, women and children and as well as manicures, pedicures, gel and acrylic nails and facial waxing.
Teetaert said she decided to start her own salon when she was on maternity leave with her son.
Tanya’s Beehive Lounge is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and every second Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

McCallum Jewellers
Sad news for Brandon business.
A family-owned and run jewelry business in the Wheat City will be closed after nearly 50 years.
McCallum Jewellers’ Brent McCallum confirmed the store, currently located in Shoppers Mall, will close its doors on Dec. 31, when its lease is up in the mall.
Nearly everything in the store is priced at clearance rates.
U Weightloss
U Weight Loss in Brandon is hosting its fourth annual U Can Food Drive now until Dec. 15.
U Weight Loss, at 2412 B Victoria Ave., is accepting food items such as canned fruit, vegetables, meat and fish, dried pasta, baby formula and baby food. In exchange for donations, U Weight Loss will be offering customers great savings on U Weight Loss products and discounts on various services and programs. The food drive is a part of the national initiative.
