Enjoy the festival

For a full decade, the Lieutenant Governor’s Winter Festival has delighted Brandon and Westman audiences with a cavalcade of cultural entertainment — from food and drink to dancing and music.

And with 13 pavilions back for the festival’s 10th anniversary bolstered by thousands of dedicated volunteers who work hard all weekend to put on a great show, this year’s rendition promises to be as colourful and as flavourful as any that have come before.

The festival kicks off tonight with the opening ceremonies at Brandon’s city hall at 6 p.m., with hosting duties shared by pavilions that have participated in the festival every year since 2004 — including First Nations, Métis, Irish and Ukrainian. We welcome all festivalgoers to our fair city, and we hope you enjoy the show.
