Belgian show a resounding success

Organizers are calling the North American Belgian Championships VII, held recently in Brandon’s Keystone Centre, a resounding success. The show hosted more than 300 of North America’s top Belgian horses and exhibitors in a week of outstanding competition and crowd-pleasing entertainment.

Highlights of the week’s schedule included hotly contested halter, hitch and showmanship classes, heavy horse pull competitions and mini-chuckwagon races. The world-renowned RCMP Musical Ride headlined the entertainment schedule on Wednesday and Thursday with a brilliant display of pageantry and horsemanship.

“We spent four years preparing for this show and all that hard work paid off in a great week here in Brandon,” show chairman Robert Berry said.

“Thanks to the support of our exhibitors, our sponsors and the many volunteers who worked to pull it all together, we can be very proud of what we accomplished at NABC VII.”

The show played to an international audience, with exhibitors and visitors from across North America and points around the globe. The North American Belgian Championships are held every four years. NABC VIII will be held in Springfield, Mass., in 2016.

It was hands down, the best ever show of any kind I've seen in Brandon!
