If the Brandon Sun was wondering about another top story for 2012, I have your answer. (Province Probes Killing Of 12 Elk, online, Jan. 3)

I for one would like to like to see a complete followup on this disgusting situation and reported story. Conservation authorities hopefully will do their duty in a diligent manner and press appropriate charges for this disgraceful act of immoral killing.

I also commend the comments of Vince Crichton, when he suggests that the province, First Nations, and Métis have to set new rules on when male and female elk and moose can be hunted and a limit on how many can be harvested.

Without exception, this carnage of animals must be investigated, and prosecuted to the full limit of the law.
