Don't force future generations to pay for our services

In defending the NDP’s record in child care, Len Evans (“NDP Doing Well On Child Care,” Oct. 16), writes “Brian Pallister started the last session of the legislature by demanding $550 million in indiscriminate, across-the-board cuts for services for families.”

With all due respect to Mr. Evans, he fails to mention that $550 million is very close to the amount of Premier Greg Selinger’s budgeted current-year $505-million deficit.

Manitobans do not want their government to pick the pockets of their grandchildren to pay for this generation’s services.
