Re: “Homes Sought For Puppies After Mother Shot, Killed” published in the Brandon Sun on April 17.
I am saddened to hear that someone would do something of this nature.
I’m also saddened that the people let their pets run loose so that this kind of stuff can occur or they can get hit by cars, or what have you; clearly some people should not be allowed to have pets.
However, I am irked by a comment made by the Brandon Humane Society’s Tracy Munn. It did not appear in the Brandon Sun, but it did appear in the CBC news article on this incident.
In the article Munn states whoever did that was “someone satanic.”
Really? Are we still in the Middle Ages here? Are we living in 1980s America during the now debunked “satanic panic” witch hunt? Have we not learned our lessons from history? Are we not capable of doing objective research before baselessly scapegoating and demonizing other people and their religions, philosophies, or so on?
I myself am a Luciferian and Satanism influences my path, though it is only a component thereof. I have been involved with this path for several years.
In all my research and experience, those who are on such paths as Satanism, Luciferianism and other occult Left Hand Paths I’ve never seen any evidence for this Satanaphobia and Luciferianphobia, nor for the scapegoating and demonizing.
Those on these paths love life and nature. We do not murder innocent animals (or humans or anything else) and it is part of our path to love nature and love animals, and to embrace life.
All most every LHP, satanic, Luciferic, etc., thinker and writings express a severe disgust for such inhumanity towards animals (or other humans). Self-defence is our way, not petty brutal acts like this.
I suggest Munn and others who feel like scapegoating us do some objective research. Just think what outcry there would be if she had said “whoever did that was someone Islamic, Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist, Wiccan, or even atheist.”
There’d be a public outcry and people would be expected to publicly apologize for such persecution and demonizing, perhaps people would even lose jobs and so on.
I/we are not looking to ruin anyone’s life or job or reputations over stupid persecutory remarks of this nature, because we tend to favor free speech fully.
However, an apology might be nice.
There is zero evidence or logic to back up this consistent double standard of hypocritical scapegoating of those on this path, quite the opposite, history and the world is filled with examples of people doing such horrible things in the names of the gods of the Abrahamic revealed religions and next to nothing of us doing so.
We love life, liberty and free will, this is the core of our paths.
So, please before you point the finger baselessly at us and our philosophies, do some objective research and also take a look in the mirror at yourself and/or of your own and others and their paths.
Whenever this stuff occurs, it’s like the pot (our accusers) calling the kettle (us/LHP) black, except the kettle did nothing at all to deserve this.

In the words of the great beast 666 Aleister Crowley (occult founder of Thelema and influence on almost every occult, Pagan, and New Age path, and pop culture even): “Do what thou will shall be the whole of the law, love is the law, love under will; every man and every woman is a star.”
As said above, love, liberty, and free will to all.
And may justice be done in this case for this dog and all involved and its puppies. Lux!
