I was very pleased to see the new format for Brandon’s Top 10, which was initiated by Sun managing editor James O’Connor in his Dec. 28 Editor’s Notebook column.
For the last few years, Sun readers have been treated to a list of Westman's “most powerful” people and the change in format to recognize those who are working most positively to make our community a better place is indeed welcome.
To borrow a phrase, the “nattering nabobs of negativity” will no doubt continue to howl at those seeking to build our community, but I am hopeful that this new focus on good people doing good work will continue.
I very much like the new Top 10, appreciate that it will help promote goodwill in our community, and think the Brandon Sun itself should be added to the list for implementing the change.
