Grateful for hospitality during stop in Brandon

On a recent road trip to British Columbia with two of my sons, we experienced a vehicle breakdown at the east end of your city.

Hotel rooms were at a premium as there was a major overhaul of an industrial site and there were several hundred contractors in the area.

We were lucky to get the last room at the Comfort Inn where the staff were most helpful.

I contacted a cousin in Minnedosa (Roy McNabb) who recommended Kelleher Ford for our service work. I was at the Ford dealership early the next morning to start the process of repairing our van. I initially was told it would be late afternoon before we could get in for a look.

I explained our travel plans to Ryan Graham, a service adviser for Kelleher Ford. Ryan took it upon himself to try to alleviate our situation. By some trial and error, experience and guesswork, the problem, was solved and we were on our way by 11 a.m.

I am most grateful for the western hospitality shown to our family.

We experienced many beautiful sights on our trek from Ontario to British Columbia, but there is also beauty in the kindness of a stranger in Brandon.

Thanks so much!
