It is reassuring to observe that Canada is “back on track” as it relates to foreign policy commitments regarding Israel and Palestine. Many observers have been puzzled by the recent stance of our government. Having said that, it’s most important now that Canada reach out to ordinary Palestinians who struggle to survive each and every day.
I have just returned from Palestine (and Israel) and was struck by the urgent needs in the health and education sector. These services make a huge difference in the quality of life for the majority of Palestinians trying to make a living and be good neighbours.
