Outrage misplaced

This letter is in response to the article “Anti-Abortion Posters Shock Women’s Resource Centre Staff,” which ran Thursday, June 14.

Pictures of aborted babies are horrifying. So when a person looks at such pictures and says, “This is sick; this is horrible,” our response should be, “Exactly. This is a horribly sick thing to do to a baby.”

It seems however, that more outrage is directed against showing pictures of killed babies than the actual killing of the babies in the pictures. As author Randy Alcorn points out, “The question is not: ‘Why are these people showing these pictures?’ but ‘Why would anyone defend as legitimate what is shown in these pictures?’”

Let’s direct our outrage toward the fact that babies are being killed and not simply that someone had the “audacity” to show us pictures proving that they were being killed.

The writer of this letter then should also have no problem showing how babies are made on TV and in print and showing that to young people as well...

Oh, wait a minute, you do?

Pity...funny how morality is in the eye of the beholder.
