In August, the world watched the Olympics, most of us glued to our TVs. We watched all the different countries win medals. We watched some of the Olympians win the most medals in Olympic history.
But I want to know why all the big TV stations like CTV and CBC didn’t have any Paralympics on at all. Is it because they are not important enough to have on? It shouldn’t matter if it is summer or winter “regular” Olympics or Paralympics, we should be able to watch them all.
I would have liked to see the Para Olympics. I was able to watch the opening ceremony and like an hour on some TSN 2 station.
I have no clue how many gold, silver or bronze medals Canada won. No clue of any other country either. It would have been nice to watch them. I guess the Paralympics aren’t that important to any of the big TV stations. Makes me think that they don’t care.
I am not trying to take anything away from the athletes. I know they worked very hard to be at the Olympics, but so did the Paralympians. I just don’t understand at all and maybe I never will.
Thought Canada had equal rights. Thought Canada was proud of their country and the people in it. Thought that we could watch everyone compete in the Olympics. Guess I was wrong. I hope I am not the only person who feels this way.
