Hats off to the Wheat City’s Gang Green Ladies Roller Derby Team.
I was at the roller derby game in Shilo on Saturday night and I have to tell you it was one of the most entertaining evenings I have had.
I might be biased, though, because I have ties with a team player “causeAScene 73M1” and another up-and-coming derby star once she gets benchmarked to play.
The Wheat City is going to be in for some really exciting roller derby games when the league takes off.
This was their first official game, and by the sounds of the 300 fans in attendance, everyone enjoyed it as much as I did.
Our team lost, but that didn’t matter to me. In my eyes they were all winners. Regina’s Jaw Breakers are a more seasoned team, but I know that once our team Gang Green gets their game on they will be a force to be reckoned with.
Way to go, Wheat City Roller Derby team Gang Green. I can’t wait for the next time you all put on your roller skates and hit the rink.
