We would like to thank you for the nice article and picture on my daughter’s book drive at her school (Brandon Sun Dec. 17). I’m sure the article helped my daughter not only reach but surpass her goal and to date, she has received 2,104 donated books with one more day to go. We are astounded with people’s generosity and wish to thank everyone who donated their books, including George Strange BookMart and Coles Book Store, and Samaritan House for getting the books to their recipients.

Just to clarify on the article, the books will be going into January’s food hampers and more than 1,150 food hampers go out each month!

We are so happy Brandonites and people in surrounding areas showed our daughter that little people can do big things, and she can make a difference in the world.

We hope people continue their generous spirit not only at Christmastime, but throughout the year.
