Brandon Sun - PRINT EDITION

Why did I have to come to Brandon?

On Dec. 23, your paper did an article about me and my concerns about not being able to use the Telehealth service in Killarney.

As a followup to your article, I had my Telehealth appointment last week. A very nice lady at the Brandon Regional Health Centre took my blood pressure, and measured my current height, weight, neck size, abdomen circumference and documented my heart rate and oxygen saturation levels.

This information was given to the doctor in Winnipeg, who I then met with via the video link courtesy of Telehealth. I appreciated not having to drive to Winnipeg, but do not see any reason why a staff member at the Killarney hospital could not have taken the required information.
