Brandon Sun - PRINT EDITION

Sound Off -- April 9, 2014

BPS unreachable by rotary dial phone

We have notified Brandon Police Service many times that as rotary dial customers we can not access them. We must dial 911 and tie up the emergency line to get to speak to someone at BPS. As taxpayers, we should be able to access the police department! When you dial the BPS, you get a very nice recording as to how to proceed, but there is no option for rotary dial customers.

Let’s get this project started

The plans for Brandon’s new airport look fantastic! It is now up to the people of Brandon and western Manitoba to contact their elected officials in the provincial and federal governments to make sure they provide all the necessary funding so construction can get started this summer.

Political cartoon right on the money!

The Brandon Sun dated March 25 contained a cartoon portraying Canada’s prime minister saluting democracy in the Ukraine and thumbing his nose at Canadian democracy. The latter he has done since before his first election as a member of Canada’s government. I have longed ever since to see this wonderful picture in print. What is really true can hurt as well. Well done!
