Keep the Kort King!
Your writeups on Kingsway Kort trailer park, very well done. Just wanted to say, I feel it is all so unfair to the people living there, I sincerely hope the buyer reconsiders the plan to make everyone move! Maybe they could fence right up to the trailers and develop the rest. There has been a shortage of affordable, safe housing in Brandon and most other towns around for years, this just makes it worse. People can only afford so much. Seems another case of the rich get richer and the poorer. Well, I guess they just do without! Sometimes humanity is more important than the riches one can make by making grief for others.
Time to get the mower out
Can someone please cut the grass on Highway 1A before there is a terrible wildlife/vehicle accident? It is very tall.
I take pride in my modular home
This is in response to the article about modular homes and RTM homes. I am a modular homeowner and my home is lovely. I take personal offence to comments that they make neighbourhoods less pleasing and I am pretty sure the taxes are not any different than most homes and telling mobile homeowners they should live out of town — I call that discrimination. I am not sure I would want to live in that neighbourhood if people who live there are that narrow-minded. I don’t think some of the statements in this article were thought out, and if council agrees with this, then I am glad I will never have to live there.
A lot of money just to save five minutes
Why is the provincial government spending millions and millions of dollars at this supposedly new interchange at First Street North and 18th Street North? I will probably only save five minutes of time. They could spend the money much more wisely on health care and education.
