So who is running this city?
Is Ted Snure or city council running this city? Snure says there are no plans to get rid of angled parking or the "Beirut barriers." It is pretty obvious from comments regarding the ugliness of the downtown area since this experiment started that things were just fine the way they were. If Snure is running things, why have a city council?
Downtown angle parking — FAIL!
Regarding the editorial in the Aug. 21 paper and the Coun. Len Isleifson story in the Aug. 22 paper. I have given the one-way traffic on Ninth and 10th streets and the angle parking a fairly good chance, but today I have had my fill of both. The one-way traffic is a nuisance and the angle parking is more than dangerous. It goes against all the things that we were taught when learning to drive. I only have one reason to go downtown — to bank, whereas before I had half a dozen reasons. It has pretty much eliminated any shopping I might do. My hope is to see the one-way streets and angle parking history — TOMORROW!
