Showing thanks for the early delivery
I just want to say that the Brandon Sun really came up with something with this early morning delivery. It is fantastic. But I just wonder if some of the customers thought about Christmas for these people who delivery this paper at 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. in the morning and in this cold weather. I just left a little something for our carrier in the mailbox and I hope other people thought of it too. These delivery people deserve a little bonus.
We don’t need winter tires
The Brandon Sun editor says they install winter tires on company cars. No doubt he doesn’t pay for them and they are tax deductible to the paper. I have been driving on all-seasons for years and before that on bias plys. Today, I still have a rear-wheel-drive vehicle and find if I don’t gun it away from stops I have no problem, also no problem stopping. The answer is drive sensibly — not like an idiot. I don’t believe we should ever be forced to use winter tires. We have enough forced taxes on us already with no value.
Texting and driving in city
(Ed: Licence plate no. withheld) you know who you are. We were both at a red light. You were texting and continued to do so all the way down Richmond Avenue. Of course, there were no police around to see you doing this while driving. If you don’t mind putting your life in danger, fine. But don’t put other people’s in danger.
Thanks for digging us out
We would like to thank a good neighbour who dug out all our sidewalks after the snowstorm on Friday evening. Really, really appreciate it. Many thanks.
Thanks for your donations
Thank you for 2013 Hamilton Light Donation. Thank you to the people who have generously donated to the Westman Christmas Cheer Registry during the 2013 holiday season. We received $950 from the donations collected while listening to the lights. Thank you again, the Hamilton Family.
