Punks driving around with their bass in their cars super loud and all that, that has to stop. All this hip hop rap stuff interferes with other drivers. If they’re going to play their tunes loud, with the bass and everything, play Iron Maiden or Motorhead or something like that. It would be a little bit more better.
Get your own house in order first
The City of Brandon says that non-profit groups seeking funding must submit financial statements with their applications, but the city can’t get its gas tax funding because it hasn’t prepared its own financial statements. Oh, the irony.
Highway 10 drivers are terrible
I totally agree that something needs to be done on Highway 10 North. We, too were going north on Sunday and a dark blue minivan passed about four times that I saw in areas clearly marked ‘No Passing.’ I was driving just over 100 km/h with my cruise control on when he/she passed us. I also saw this vehicle try to pass while going through Forest where the speed limit is 70 km/h. What is wrong with people? This person probably only arrived a couple of minutes ahead of all the cars they passed — for what? Got to it first? The mentality today astonishes me!
Private Tory gathering in a public park?
About the Vanessa Hamilton complaint, why would the Conservative group want to have a barbecue in a public park? I have heard about these events in supporters’ back yards, what does this tell us? To me it means that there is a lack of Conservatives who are willing to put on such a event. Are they perhaps tired of Harper and his MPs?
The locals aren’t to blame for garbage
I have to assume you are blaming folks who live along PTH 250 for the garbage in the ditches, which is naive to say the least. Who in their right mind would throw what can be identifiable garbage along a road close to home? Wake up!
Respect yer elders, kiddies
What’s going on with children today? Children are not taught to respect others.When I was growing up, if you didn’t respect others, you were given a tongue lashing or punished with a slap and told not to talk bad to your parents, etc. Now if you did that, it’s call the cops. I see so many families broken up with heartfelt language being thrown in their parents’ faces. Children and adults should respect their peers. Way too many things in this world are handed out to our children without having to work for it. And now our society is so disposable.
Student bankruptcies? Not for seven years
Just a point of clarification about your recent editorial on student debt and loans. Unlike all other forms of debt, you can’t declare bankruptcy on student loans without waiting seven years after finishing your education. Odd that students are treated in such a fashion, yet other people can be as reckless as possible and declare bankruptcy immediately. Not that I am advocating bankruptcy, yet students are operating under stricter rules and this clearly isn’t fair.
