Where will we go?
Regarding the restaurant at the Wheat City Golf Club, I would like to see it still remain open due to the fact that it accommodates a lot of people after church; groups of people with about 12 or more in number. So why do away with it? Please, please reconsider.
What a great performance!
Regarding the performance of “Always … Patsy Cline” at the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium this week. It was such a great performance with the two ladies involved — Katrina Plante with her voice so suited for the songs of Patsy Cline and Karen Chrest, who just gave an outstanding performance and added humour to the show.
Very disappointed about changes to 10th Street
I participate in one of the many Brandon School of Dance programs. I know that on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings, there are close to 30 individuals requiring parking in this section of 10th Street. This does not include people attending other exercise venues in the block. Losing these spots will require more pedestrian walking in a high traffic area, particularly in the evenings. Please reconsider this decision.
This city needs free neutering … for pets
I listen to Shop and Swap every morning on the radio and am thoroughly discussed with the amount of people who phone in saying they have kittens or puppies to give away. For heaven’s sake, haven’t they ever heard of the word “neuter?” I realize the expense as I have done it myself. In Toronto, they have a free vet clinic for people who cannot afford the costs for the care of the animal. We have to do something to help these animals.
Stick with what you know
This is to the person who feels that mobile homes depreciate over the years to just about nothing. You probably have never owned a mobile home and it is people like you who have the most to say. I bought my mobile home 19 years ago for $45,000 and I just sold it for $125,000 — not a bad investment and a pretty darn good return. You have a good day … and maybe buy a mobile home.
