They call them ‘all season’ for a reason
So someone thinks we should make winter tires mandatory in Manitoba just because British Columbia has. I don’t think so ... we don’t have mountains in Manitoba, so our driving conditions are quite different. Also to the Westman person who said winter tires saved his life, well maybe drive according to road conditions and you will still be alive. All-season tires have worked fine for me for 40 years. Why would they have been called “all season” anyway?
Lights making you sick?
Get rid of energy efficient lights! Please! Fluorescent and the new energy efficient lights are literally making me sick! Violent headaches, burning in my head, nausea, etc. Please, all business including restaurants, get rid of them. I am always having to ask to sit where there is almost no light at all. All lights should have shades on them so they are not shining in your face. They may save some energy, but at what cost to us? If they bother you, too, send a letter to Manitoba Hydro. I did and they said they need more complaints to get them off the market and are still researching them. So write in and let them know if you, too, are feeling sick with the new lights.
Help us brighten up the core area, please!
No wonder there is crime happening regularly in downtown Brandon, there are so many street lights out. I do not feel safe walking in complete darkness. After attempting to count the burned out lights within four blocks of city hall, I lost count!
