I want to give a big thank you to the young lady who found my Siamese, Missy who got out on me while letting my dogs in on Tuesday night. I had no luck in locating her myself. It is nice to know she was found by someone who was wonderful enough to take her to Grand Valley Animal Clinic, which happens to be the clinic I take my pets to. Thank you so much.
Breach of privacy ‘should’ bother you
Regarding the hacked server at Brandon University, I am horrified that the president doesn’t think such a breach of privacy wouldn’t “have bothered me that much” if it had happened to her data. Seriously? If someone had her name, birth date, and social insurance number, it wouldn't bother her much? I wonder how the dozens or hundreds of real people that this has affected feel? Does Dr. Poff have any appreciation of the violation they surely sense? The fear of how their information might be used? Such a dismissal of the seriousness of this situation is inexcusable.
Thanks for the ‘LIFT’
Hats off to the Brandon Teachers’ Association for an amazing and well-organized professional development day this past Friday. BTA LIFT was my first teachers’ conference and I left feeling inspired and empowered. I happily spent my entire Saturday in the classroom bringing new, fresh ideas to life. To all involved, thank you for a valuable experience!
