Where’s our moral compass?
Along with the recent headline, “Marriage On The Decline,” there should have been a secondary one as well … “Cheating On The Rise.” My impression is that many people, whether single or married, have tossed their moral compass out the window. When you cheat on your spouse or when you insert yourself into someone’s marriage you are wreaking havoc on many lives — the spouse, the children, the extended family, close friends, colleagues and society as a whole. I think people have moral responsibility to not cheat — it takes a toll on everyone.
Thanks to Superstore employee
I would like to give a big thank you to the employee of Superstore for helping me in my time of need. I did not get her name, but I am very grateful to that young lady.
No worries — we will just go elsewhere
I think we are all tired of talking about a casino. Let’s face it — Brandon doesn’t want it. That is fine. We will all spend our money in Winnipeg, where there is better shopping and lots to do. Or perhaps Belcourt, N.D. They will be opening their big beautiful casino at the beginning of the year. We will take our money there and do some shopping. Great deals in the States, too. So Brandon is losing all this revenue — that’s fine — it is always nice to line someone else’s pockets. Just too bad it couldn’t be Brandon’s.
I had my reasons for stopping
Okay Mr. Smartypants in your grey Chrysler mini-van heading west just past the new police station — the reason I was stopped, that big red truck you saw in front of you, there was also two little boys halfway across the street. Yes, there should have been a traffic guard, and yes there should have been more crosswalks or lights flashing, but you swerved past on the right-hand side and scared the life out of those little boys! I just hope maybe tragedy will strike your family — there I said it!
What a bunch of wussies
I cannot believe the youth today and the violence out there whether it is gang-related or not. We have kids between the ages of 13 and 17 who think they are tough and think they are macho. They also think that they rule the world and they attack people violently in gangs of two or three or four people beating on each other. What every happened to the days when I was a kid and people used to fight man to man? I think the kids in today’s society are a bunch of cowards and wussies.
Protect your noggin
The last few days I have noticed the new coach of the Wheat Kings without a helmet. I thought all coaches who are on the ice are supposed to wear hockey helmets for their own safety?
