De Serres pushes Hayes for No.1 job
It’s pretty obvious that Andrew Hayes and Jacob De Serres would both like to be ‘The Guy’ between the pipes for the Brandon Wheat Kings.
Both are 19-year-old goaltenders, each with more than 100 Western Hockey League games under their belts, and both would dearly love to be the workhorse the Wheat Kings turn to during the Western Hockey League playoffs and the Memorial Cup.
Don’t hold your breath waiting for a clear-cut No.1 to emerge, however, as the Wheat Kings plan to continue using both liberally down the stretch.
