Frankie Edgar the big winner on the TUF 19 payscale for win over B.J. Penn

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Former lightweight champion Frankie (The Answer) Edgar made a basic purse of US$260,000 for beating B.J. Penn a third time Sunday night on "The Ultimate Fighter" Season 19 finale card.

Edgar collected $130,000 in show money with a matching win bonus. Penn, a former UFC lightweight and welterweight champion, made $150,000 while missing out on his matching win bonus.

Penn retired immediately after the televised main event at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.

The figures, provided Monday by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, do not tell the whole financial story since the UFC does not release all the details of its fighter compensation.

One of the big winners of the night was Leandro Issa, a Brazilian bantamweight who fights out of Singapore. He collected $115,000, including $50,000 bonuses for fight of the night and performance of the night plus a $7,500 win bonus.

Jumabieke Tuerxun, the Chinese fighter whom Issa beat, made $58,000 including his $50,000 for fight of the night.

Bantamweight Sarah (Cheescake) Moras of Kelowna, B.C., collected $18,000 including an $8,000 win bonus, for her decision win over Alexis Dufresne. Lightweight Jesse (The Body Snatcher) Ronson of London, Ont., got $8,000 for his decision loss to Kevin (The Detroit Phenom) Lee.
