Hooey scores twice as the Bulls down the Wolves

BELLEVILLE, Ont. - Garrett Hooey scored twice for the Belleville Bulls as they beat the visiting Sudbury Wolves by a 5-2 score Saturday night in Ontario Hockey League action.

Joseph Cramarossa, Scott Simmonds and Brendan Gaunce also scored for the Bulls (44-16-8), who have won five of their last six games.

Dominik Kubalik and Michael Kantor picked up goals for the Wolves (29-27-11).

After Kubalik opened the scoring for Sudbury in the second, Hooey was awarded a penalty shot and made no mistake after going five-hole on Taylor Dupuis to even the score.

Hooey picked up his second of the game at the eight-minute mark and Cramarossa made it 3-1 on the power play just over a minute later.

Simmonds and Gaunce scored early in the third before Kantor added a late goal for the Wolves.

Charlie Graham made 19 saves for the win as Dupuis turned away 33 shots in defeat.

Belleville finished the night going 1 for 4 on the power play while Sudbury finished 1 for 3.
