Vees to face host Cougars in RBC Cup semi

The Penticton Vees will have to beat the hometown Cobourg Cougars to advance to the RBC Cup championship.

The loss dropped them to 1-1-1-1. Pierre-Anthony Martineau had a goal and two assists for the Cobras (2-0-0-2), who will take on the Brooks Bandits in the other semifinal.

Owen Sillinger had the goal for Penticton.

The Cougars (2-1-1-0) took over first place with a 5-2 win over the Bandits (2-1-0-1) in Thursday’s other game.

The semifinals take place Saturday. The winners meet in Sunday’s final at 4 p.m.
